The MacGregors: One passionate, headstrong family. Two fan-favorite tales of timeless romance.

All the Possibilities

Shelby Campbell is unlike any woman Senator Alan MacGregor has ever known--vibrant, creative, unconventional...and determined to keep him at arm's length despite their undeniable attraction. But Alan never lets anything stop him from getting what he wants--not even the centuries-old feud between the MacGregors and the Campbells...

One Man's Art

Grant Campbell is a loner, completely set in his ways. Yet when he opens his lighthouse door to Genevieve Grandeau on a wild, stormy night, something in him shifts. Gennie can see that under Grant's gruff exterior, he's intelligent and sensitive, but emotionally scarred. Can she convince him to move beyond his past--to share, to trust and to love again?

This book features the continuing saga of the MacGregor's, containing the two classic Silhouette novels `All the possibilities' and `One man's art.' I have to say that I much preferred this one to the first part of the saga, though the story arc continues with characters from that book as well. As I have said in the past, though these books don't necessarily have to be read in order, I would recommend it, just to establish who is who.Story one this time concentrates on Alan MacGregor, a level-headed State Senator who is intrigued by the decidedly bohemian Shelby and decides to make her his own, but Shelby isn't really one for politics- can he change her mind? Story two echoes a similar storyline from the first part of the saga, concentrating on Shelby's loner brother Grant and a woman he shelters.Though it might seem a bit contrived, I like how the book doesn't necessarily focus just on the MacGregor's but runs to stories on their spouses siblings too- it makes things a bit more interesting. Daddy Daniel MacGregor with his `booming voice' and constant scotch drinking is getting a little bit tiresome though as these stories progress, particularly with his interfering in his children's' love life, so I'm not particularly looking forward to reading *his* story, which comes up soon! The men (aside from the aforementioned Daniel) are portrayed as just delectable and very determined to get what they want and I like the varied locations and situations these stories concentrate on- from DC to Massachusettes in these two. The female heroines too are also quite feisty, which makes a change to the weak-willed women in some other romance novels.Recommended for fans of NR or romance fans generally- though be aware that the first part of this saga isn't quite as good as this one.

This is another good book by Nora Roberts. I have now read a lot of hers. This one was not my favoriate but I have given it 5 stars as she does keep you hooked and you want to know what is going to happen. The book is in two stories, one for each of them which I like a lot as it's easier to follow.Recommend to any Nora Roberts fan or some one wanting a bit of romance.
